Max Thomas, CEO & Managing General Partner

Max Thomas is the founder of MMC Group Management Consulting. An executive with a broad background that began in computer engineering, service and consulting, and then migrated into global sales and executive management.  Max has held various executive management roles that included all operations as a GM and COO, as well as EVP of Sales, Strategy and Marketing in consulting companies implementing enterprise applications.  His experience includes over 2 decades in the enterprise application space involving hundreds of ERP, CRM and custom application implementations.  In addition, he has been a customer and user through multiple SAP, Oracle and Microsoft implementations; resulting in a deep and unique insight from both the delivery and user perspective.


His experience includes M&A transformation; such as turning around a failing company to achieve favorable acquisition as well as integrating acquisitions for a high growth national consulting company.  He has built teams and executed sales and growth strategies for consulting and engineering companies that span fortune 500 companies like GE Capital and Digital Equipment Corporation as well as many mid-size companies.  Direct responsibilities have included a broad range of operations such as sales, consulting, engineering, project management, construction services, warehouse management, product development, marketing and IT.

 

With global experience that spans many industries and roles, Max is passionate about helping companies deliver the positive “results that matter” with your business strategy and software applications.


Max is also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and had the pleasure of operating, programming and repairing the largest computer system ever built, that guarded the US and Canada against Nuclear threats.

 

Max holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Trinity College & Univertity as well as an Associates Degree in Computer Technology from the Community College of the United States Air Force.

Ken Wahl, CFO

Ken joined MMC Group to add talent in the area of accounting and finance as well as leadership, following a 25 career as CFO/Controller of companies in multiple industries. He is a CPA with experience in public accounting with the national CPA firm Deloitte. Ken was one of 30 Financial Executives (FEI) invited by the Chinese government to lecture their 12 regional governments on US business methods. He was Chapter President of the Financial Executives Institute for North Florida (FEI).


Ken has directed the selection and installation of accounting and business software for companies in multiple industries. Ken has rescued numerous companies from complex software implementations that were over budget and on a path to failure.


Helping Accounting and  IT departments survive the intense requirements of total digital transformation through enterprise software implementations while simultaneously performing their daily jobs is what Ken enjoys and excels at.


His experience includes managing finance, accounting, treasury, information technology and public accounting with Deloitte, CPAs (formerly Haskins & Sells). Most recently he was Controller of Sivica Homes, a multi-state home builder that rose from start-up to over 400 homes per year production in just 2 years. Sivica out produced & out sold the US national home builders by a margin of 2 to 1. Ken was key in designing and implementing the entire accounting system.
 

Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer of Universal Data Consultants, a highly successful computer/software sales and service organization. He managed the finance and accounting affairs while the enterprise grew from 35 million to over 250 million in revenue. 


Ken holds a BSBA degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Florida.
